Why I Chose Hospice of Amador & Calaveras
The mission of Hospice of Amador & Calaveras, a non-profit community-based organization, is to provide exceptional end-of-life care to everyone in the community who needs it regardless of their ability to pay and to educate and collaborate with healthcare providers and community members in promoting exceptional end-of-life care. As an independent non-profit, Hospice relies on the support of community donors to eliminate the shortfalls not covered by insurance & they have never turned down a patient for the inability to pay.
I have experienced all types & manner of death during my law enforcement career and I have also experienced the benefits of Hospice Care during my mother’s end-of-life journey. In addition, the benefits of Hospice Care’s services for both patients and family members is amazing and I can’t think of a more worthwhile cause. I’m honored to be representing Hospice of Amador & Calaveras as I raise awareness and funds for their organization during my solo bicycle ride across America.
Hospice quotes from family members I recently interviewed:
“I never knew how amazing those angels are from Hospice; every single person.”
“Hospice was a godsend for us, I could not have done it without them. They were invaluable!”
I encourage you to follow my journey across America and to support Hospice of Amador & Calaveras by donating to my fundraiser for Hospice Care using the Donate Today link on this page.
Thank you for your support and for following what I feel will be my most impactful adventure yet!
